PC game sales are down 23% this year, IT MUST BE PIRACY!!!!!!
*sigh* when is this nonsense going to stop? Could it be that there haven't been any major hits for PC games this year? We finally get to buy Doom3 but other than that, no major hits so far this year. It could be that you have to buy a game, install over 1gb of game to your computer, hope copy protection doesn't screw up your install, then make sure you entered your code correctly, have internet access so your game can "phone home" to make sure it is legit. Then you have to download patches, since games rarely come out of the box working anymore. Then after all of that, you still need to keep the CD in the drive because the game companies think you are going to rip them off. Or, it could be that lots of people are waiting for EverQuest II or Worlds of Warcraft to convert to online players. OR IT COULD BE PIRACY!!!!!!!
The real problem is the arrogant game companies IMO. Forcing crap games on us or offering no sequels for years, then screaming PIRACY!!!!!!!! when game sales are down.
