Jefferson and I built some great snow forts yesterday. The weather was pretty mild, so we bundled up and headed outside. We, of course, had to make all military themed forts in the snow. We built 3 forts in all, we had some fantastic drifts that allowed us to make walls pretty easily. Here's a picture of one of them with more at my Flickr page.
My LX3 camera is amazing, I really like this shot. More artistic than what I usually do but then adjusting the levels to make it really black with highlights on Levi and I think it turned out pretty good. Also, I have a setting where every shot I take I can add to the meta data exactly how old Jefferson and Levi are in the pictures. It counts from their Birthdays and tells me exactly how many days old they are. Super camera that fits in your pocket and takes amazing pictures.
I've been doing more with video lately, but I'm still a purist and prefer still pictures from my camera over those fancy moving images. However, I just made a video on Animoto called "Baby Levi's First Year" I'll also embed it below
Levi waking up at Grandma Roberts after his first night away from home. He traveled really really well. Slept all the way to Des Moines, most of the day and almost made it all the way home without having to stop to eat. He started screaming when we got off of Highway 20 at Dike, so it was only loud for a few minutes before we pulled into the driveway. Jefferson has such a kind heart, he told us his heart was aching when he had to listen to his little brother in the back crying for a few minutes before we made it home.
