Sick child

We have had our first sick child experience this weekend.  Jefferson has an ear infection.  We are very happy that we have gone an entire year without a sick child.  The doctor put him on anti-biotics, which he must be allergic too since he broke out with a rash all over.  We got him moved over to some different anti-biotics and we are monitoring how he's doing.  He has been sleeping a lot, which is good, but he's not his normal self.  Hopefully this week he will return to normal.

Jefferson's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Jefferson's 1st Birthday yesterday.  It is amazing that an entire year has passed.  Our son has gone from a helpless baby to a walking, talking, eating on his own little boy.  I'd recommend everyone head over to the picture section to see the changes this first year has brought. 

We went to Chuck E. Cheese last night.  Jefferson had a great time.   There is an entire baby type area with little rides and a little slide for him to play on.  He had a great time watching the other children run and play.  As he often does, he went into stare mode with his mouth open to take it all in.  He had 2 entire pieces of pizza, I think I need a 2nd job to pay for feeding this little guy.   He enjoyed watching momma and pappa play skeeball and the basketball game.  We bought some ice cream for him but he passed out on the way home in the truck. 

I'm thinking I'll start a new picture album for his 2nd year.  It will be easier to see all the newest pictures I think.

I don't like blogs I'm a Journalist!

Ah yes, the old "if you don't have an english + journalism degree, and work for a mainstream media news agency then your fact finding abilities or opinion aren't worth shit" argument. 

There are plenty of other smart people out in this world.  Professional people that can scoop stories, write opinions and take photos quicker and faster than the mainstream media outfits.  The media sound like recording companies losing money to free P2P apps.  It's the philosphy the "we are smarter than you" philosophy, mixed with some "oh crap, technology is going to put us out of business" realization.
