Every politician would lead you to believe they are "one of us", you know the "average joe" "common american". Well you all have $2.7 million dollar artwork laying around don't you? I'm wondering if my dogs playing poker artwork is worth anything?

Wow, I did not realize Canada was similiar to North Korea in their zeal to ban anything the government finds offensive or against "Canadian Culture". FreeWillblog.com fills us in on our neighbors to the north.

As you may have noted, FOX News has once again applied for permission to broadcast in Canada.
Permission, in that the Canadian government strictly controls foreign publications, music broadcasts, and television signals in Canada, complete with a list of banned books, ostensibly to "protect Canadian culture". (You can, I believe, order a list of banned books, updated every 4 months, by requesting "A Supplemental List of Books Currently Being Detained - Guide D-9-11" from Revenue Canada. At various times, such controversial subjects as Irish mythology and, ironically, scholarly works on censorship itself, have resulted in governmental fits of book-burning in Ottawa.) As they've stated previously, of course, the Canadian government will not tolerate speech that creates dissonance in their society, so outside agitators must be formally and swiftly crushed by a rather expensive bureacracy. (Any bets on whether this blog would be retained at the border as "hate speech"?)

here are two ways, I suppose, one could inform readers of the Geneva Convention stipulation against using places of worship to conduct military attacks. One might be to headline saying that Terrorists Attack Coalition Forces From Mosques. That would be one way to present the information.
Another might be to say: Mosques Targeted in Fallujah. That was the Los Angeles Times headline this morning.
iTunes 4.5 is out for OS X and Windows
They also have the new Beastie Boys single for sale for $.99 at the iTunes store. I've purchased a copy already.
John Podhoretz tells us why Kerry is so terrible
I agree with Podhoretz, they should have gone with Edwards.
One of the oddest things heard at the Pro Abortion March this last weekend. Maxine Waters told the crowd, "I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion."
Yes, but we get to hear your lovely comments because your mother could not have that abortion Maxine.
Law of the land? It was a court case, it isn't a law. There is a separation of powers that doesn't allow the courts to pass laws, that is the arena of the legislature. Roe vs. Wade struck down state laws as unconstitutional, it doesn't matter if you agree with this or not, what matters is that you understand how a bill becomes law. Apparently Kerry doesn't understand this.
Kerry's family owns the SUV not he
First of all, I don't see a distinction between the car I drive and the car my wife drives, we are all "the family".
Second, is Kerry a complete idiot?
Kerry said it's important for his family to buy American cars and pledged to keep car manufacturing jobs in the country if elected. He said he is interested in a hybrid car, and has talked to Ford about making it the ``campaign car.''
Uh...all mitsubishis are made in the U.S., Nissan has a HUGE plant in Tenn. they just added on to it thanks to Nissan's turnaround, All BMW Z3s are made in the U.S. along with the Mercedes M SUVs, a good number of Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords are made in the U.S., and many Mazda's are made right here in the U.S. employing U.S. citizens. It is very hard to find even an "american" car that is 100% american made. Not to mention lots of foreign automakers use parts from U.S. companies. There are only a few true all "american" made cars. I know the Chevy Malibu is one, not sure on the others but they are fairly rare.
I seriously think Kerry is clueless. He just bought a Chrysler 300m, uh..that's made in Canada Mr. Kerry, not the U.S. Mr. Kerry have a look at this webpage, to find out where your cars are made.
